Welcome to my blog

Captured through past and present journal entries, this website is a collection of my “I’ve always wanted to…” moments in hopes to inspire continued curiosity and pushing outside of comfort zones. Here’s to lifelong learning and casting votes everyday for the person you want to become.

Once you stop learning, you start dying.

- Albert Einstein

From being forced to learn how to drive a manual transmission, to learning how to ride a motorcycle and dirt bike (which are completely different, btw); tagged “LEARN” are a collection of my “I’ve always wanted to learn…” adventures. Follow my chase to get better with current and new hobbies.

Wherever you go, go with all your heart.

- Confucius
Could be argued as my favorite collection, “TRAVEL” is a series of stories abroad including those that will make you laugh, question “how I made it this far in life,” and perhaps provoke belly butterflies. This collection includes details of what I’ve done abroad, and one of my proudest “I’ve always wanted to” moment to-date – Taking my mom and grandparents to Laos.

The mind is everything. What you think, you become.

- Buddha
This collection is all about following my heart and feeling great in the process. Follow my progress of becoming a Yogi, meditator, runner, artist, and probably more. I am not trying to become the “pro” kind; rather I’m simply casting a vote everyday to help unleash these skills and titles within. “You’re welcome future Salyna…”

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies... The man who never reads lives only one.

- George R.R Martin

I mean, who’s “Heather” of Chapters anyways? A bit out of place, but I figured by including my reads, I not only hold myself accountable for my “I’ve always wanted to Read A Book A Week” goal but also, my reviews and recommendations may inspire others *ahem, my siblings* to check out the books too! (p.s. In case you were wondering, “Heather” is Chapters CEO & Chief Booklover)

my Motivation

I am going to do everything "I've always wanted to..." so that I may look back and celebrate my journey with zero "I wish I had" moments.
